Mental Health Resources
At Castor we feel that people at any age can need support with their mental health. As a core
At school, we have an open-door policy with our children who can come speak with us if they are having difficulties and they also have access to busy bees, which the children can use to speak to one of our mental health TAs. On site, we have one ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant), who receives qualifications from an educational psychologist. She also attends regular meetings with other ELSA's to unpick new ideas to support our children.
At break and lunchtime, children can access the Hive, a quiet break-out space that children can use to get away from the excitement of lunchtime play, which is an area supported with a mental health TA.
Children have access to the forest school for one half-term a year with a forest technician.
