The Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) website for parents is a useful place to visit in order to support and protect children and young people growing up online. Click Here to visit the section of the website aimed at parents with primary age children. (https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents/Primary/) .
The site provides lots of information about how children are currently using the Internet and the risks involved. There are also suggestions of ways to start conversations with children about keeping safe when using the Internet and access to tools to support this.
The Internet Matters website (Click here to visit) is also a very useful source of information for parents, giving advice and support about a wide range of topics linked to young people's use of the Internet.
Please think carefully about how your child uses the Internet– are they safe?
