Worship
As a Church of England school with very close links to our local church, St Kyneburgha of Castor, all children and staff join together for a daily act of worship. The weekly theme is based on the liturgical calendar and gospel readings along with our Christian Values. This also links with services at our Benefice Churches and the teachings which take place at Children’s Church (Castor Church Sunday Club).
Worship on a Monday is led by Miss Abbott on issues relevant to the school's Christian values, British Values, UNICEF and events in the Church calendar.
Tuesdays worship is a praise singing assembly for Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
Classes lead the worship theme on Wednesday to the rest of the school.
On a Thursday, a member of the Church team is welcomed into school to help us understand the weekly theme message further, together with the teachings of the Church of England.
On a Friday, we invite parents, friends and carers of our children, to join us as we celebrate the successes of the week both inside and outside of school, always remembering to thank God for the gifts and talents he has given to us. Our Achievement Assembly takes place at 2.30pm each Friday (unless notified otherwise).
